ALVA “GUAVA” JANSSEN MCDIARMID - Jack Vorfeld's cousin
Age, 83 of Kailua, Hawaii passed away November 15, 2011. Born June 17, 1927 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
Alva taught Elementary School for 35 years For the State of Hawaii and retired to enjoy travel and the good life with her husband Don McDiarmid Jr. and family.
She is survived by her 3 children, Son, “Flip” McDiarmid; and daughters Mabby McDiarmid Porter, Dee-Dee Wilson; 7 grand-children and 4 great-grand-children; sisters, Patricia R. Clark and Betty Kelley.
Services were held at Punchbowl Cemetery at 3:00 pm November 29, 2011. A celebration of her life will follow at the families home.
