The Sound of Swing Band
The band is The Sound of Swing, playing at one of its annual functions,the Chehalis Music & Art
Festival, in July. The tenor sax soloist is Joe Blaser, one of Ron Simpson's former students.
The flugelhorn player is Ken Tinkham, lifelong friend and associate of Ron Simpson.
The Sound Of Swing donates all proceeds to its Big Band Scholarship Fund. NOTE: Ken passed away in 2004.
